Decisions
As part of the process of reviewing a particular area of law reform, the Commission makes decisions about whether any changes should be made to the area of law under review. These decisions are set out in the recommendations made in the Commission’s final report on the particular review.
Consultation
During 2009–10, the Commission undertook an extensive consultation process following the release of the second discussion paper for stage two of the guardianship review. This included conducting public forums in Cairns, Toowoomba, Townsville, Bundaberg and Brisbane, and on the Gold and Sunshine Coasts, and conducting a series of consultation meetings with a range of health professionals.
The Commission also consulted on its discussion paper on jury directions.
