Legislation
The guardianship regime in Queensland is made up by two pieces of legislation:
- the Powers of Attorney Act 1998 (Qld) and
- the Guardianship
and Administration Act 2000 (Qld)

Case law
The Guardianship and Administration Tribunal was established with specific jurisdiction to make decisions in relation to adults with impaired capacity.
