Background Paper 1 - An introduction to our review

On 23 April 2026, we released the first of a series of Background Papers.

To support engagement in our review, we have released a series of targeted Fact Sheets:

General, Aboriginal peoples and Torres Strait Islander peoples, Professionals, Prosecutors and Investigators and  Victims, witnesses and parties to proceedings.

Background Paper 2 - Evidence law by design

On 29 July 2026 we released Background Paper 2 which explores our approach to preparing draft evidence legislation for Queensland that is fair, clear, effective, and enduring.

We will release a Consultation Paper and Draft Exposure Bill in April 2027.

Our final report and recommendations is due to be delivered to the Attorney-General on 1 December 2027.
